Lower Guk is the drowned, undead half of the froglok city — and for a generation of players, the greatest dungeon in the game. The ghoul-taken halls below the living city hold the densest concentration of legendary camps in classic EverQuest: the Ghoul Lord, the Frenzied Ghoul, the Arch Magus, and more. In Legends, its instanced tiers put those camps within reach of any group willing to go deep.

Why come here
- The best loot table of its era, full stop — the famous camps built entire characters, and the drops still anchor mid-40s gearing in Legends.
- Massive undead population: pal/clr tools shine, and necros can charm the dead frogloks for a private army.
- Verified Legends drops are already accumulating on this page — the community farms here for a reason.
Dangers
- It's a true maze — three-dimensional, flooded in places, with respawns behind you. Getting out is a plan, not an afterthought.
- Undead frogloks see through invisibility of the ordinary kind — invis vs. undead is the tool here.
- The deep camps chain-assist; a broken mez at the Frenzied camp is a wipe story you'll tell later.
- Live-side and dead-side spawns interleave near the border tunnels — cons lie about what's around the corner.
Getting there
Through Upper Guk: enter from Innothule Swamp and descend via the connecting tunnels, or take the direct Lower Guk entrance from the swamp's southwest — the 'safe hall' route from the swamp entrance is the classic run-in.
Good to know
- Two zone-ins exist: the dead-side entrance near the safe hall, and the live-side connection through Upper Guk.
- The Ghoul Lord, Frenzied Ghoul, and Arch Magus camps are the historic pillars — expect competition classic servers never solved; Legends instances do.
