Castle Mistmoore is the gothic seat of the vampire lord Mayong Mistmoore, tucked into a fog-drowned valley in the Lesser Faydark. Gargoyles perch its towers, dark elf servants and undead staff keep its halls, and its master remains one of Norrath's great unslain mysteries. Beautiful, atmospheric, and famously lethal to the careless.

Why come here
- Faydwer's mid-level dungeon of record: the yard and lower halls carry groups from the teens deep into the 30s.
- Vampire-thematic drops (and the castle's famous named) hold value across eras.
- Stunning zone design — worth visiting for the architecture alone, and the instanced tiers in Legends make deeper camps practical.
Dangers
- The graveyard and gate aggro is legendarily sticky — trains here wipe whole picnics of Faydwer teens.
- Gargoyles blend into the architecture until they don't.
- Deep-castle nobles are far above the yard's level range, and the castle interior funnels runners straight through them.
- Mayong himself is not a fight — he's a lesson.
Good to know
- Mayong Mistmoore has never been permanently slain in Norrathian history — treat his hall as scenery.
- The graveyard, fountain yard, and servant halls are the classic camp ladder.
